Movie Time

So I’m a little glum writing about this, but tomorrow Manila will finally see the last installment of the movie Harry Potter…..hu hu huh hu. Are you going to watch? I am, this is actually in my top 10 to do list for the year.

I remember my first HP book, I bought it in paperback, for around Php200 only, back then when it was still gaining its popularity.  It was just a regular day at work (was it my 1st job? 2nd?) and I happen to run out of things to do..petiks!  To kill time I borrowed the newspaper, there in the lifestyle section was a review of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, classified under fiction young adults reads. I wish I can remember who wrote that review, I could never thank him/her enough for partly being responsible for my addiction to this series.  Not that I would not know about it, but it was nice to brag that when everyone was finally talking about muggles and wizards, I was waiting for the shipment of my third book.  Nice to share your thoughts about what’s going to happen and even point-out trivial details, which not everyone will remember, considering that I read it twice already, well, that’s how much addicted I was at the time. I didn't pre-order the Deathly Hallows, but I got the ebook copy instead because I think I’m done with the book carrying from school. Sadly after page six, I found out that reading from a screen is not for me. I prefer not to further damage my eyes, so got the audio instead. By the way I highly recommend Jim Dale’s version, it was like I was watching the whole thing happen in my mind. I even cried when Dobby died.

Enough with the babbling, Im sure your excited to see it too! Have you reserved a ticket already? See you at the Movies! ALOHAMORA!

Transco – Cats or simply TransCats

So this may be a little too late to be posted, but what the heck lets apply the “better late than never” saying.

In Action!
Well as I’ve mentioned in my first blog, (pls read & follow if you like it) nowadays I have a strong fondness to make-up, and what a great opportunity to brush-up on my technique is to offer my services to our group’s bet at one of the anniversary activities. Though I offered, yes I did! yikes… more of like … er fighting spirit, confidence, I was having mixed emotions but nevertheless I was excited!!! I never imagined that I could be actually putting this hobby to test. While the collecting of contributions for our supplies & tools is quite brutal, sorry guys you know who you are, I totally get it, with all the cut privileges & recession thing, its pretty understandable. To my relief, no there was no begging needed, we had just enough to cover for the cosmetics, facepaint  & tools that I needed.

Here comes the day, June 30, and 10 faces to do, whew! how was I suppose to do that? Of course I timed it, did you know that including the hair , it takes about 45mins to  do each. Serious isn’t it? No, I guess pretty amazing for an amateur like me to finish. But you guessed right again, I didn’t do all of them, I got help. (Ms. Zaida & Arlie, thanks) they have inkling to make-up too! I enjoyed what I did, though it gave me an aching back, head and feet at the end of the day, I will never give up this  hobby for sure. What do you think about their cat faces?

Me, Jaja & Rachel, oh sorry Mark your missing!
Thanks for the help, also thanks for the photo by Mr. Al Bigornia

Victory is sweet, YES we WON!!! Congrats Transcats!!

I was running in heels that day, not a good idea to go around putting make-up and doing hair for hours.

This i promise 01

Its hard for me to get inspired nowadays, usually it takes a differently super cute outfit, high shoes, pancakes, and my latest craze, yes make-up to at least keep me inspirationally going.  But theres something about the beat of Richard Marx’s  “This I promise you”, the accoustic version. It gives me this feeling of calmness, makes me think of mellow colors, do something nice, make something pretty and is making me smile =) !  This is definitely something I wouldn't do specially on a workday, I mean listen to RM with all that’s happening, well nothing really new, its  all work and home, it definitely gives me that push to do something good.

Just yesterday I was looking for something to read to help me with my ideas for a new project,,.... yep, I found the book, but no offense to the writer,  I haven’t started it yet, Ive been twittering, facebooking, youtubing… lets say not a good start to committing  to do something this month.  I have come to think that I have not been very productive this month, (ummm embarrassing) last half year! Besides wanting to learn how to perfect the art of make-up, I have totally given up writing & reading. For this I’m really ashamed because reading is my first love. I wouldn't be appreciating all the lifestyle, gadgets, news, gossips, trends if it weren't for me burying my nose on books, magazines readily available.

Maybe the word promise, or the lyrics alone that’s making me feel this way, but whatever it is..Richard Marx,,, this I promise you..I will start to read & write again.

“every word I say its true, this I promise you ..ohhhhh”

Listen I uploaded it ..hope it carries you away too..happy night!!!!
